Deion Branch with another Seahawk First down.
Deion Branch has been traded to the NE Patriots and I think this is a Win-Win for everyone. We can reclaim a 4th round pick and really traded Lynch for Branch and an unconditional 2012 pick. Not to bad. Branch is an elite reciever, but he never really fit well in our offense. Yes he would every once and a while get a first down for us, and would have a sweet celebration, waiving for the first down, and then walking back to the huddle with a smile that was just precious.
Lime Green colors. Inspired by Branch
The one thing that made Branch completely worth his time with seattle was coming out with those lime green gloves. I remember seeing them and immediately liking them. He definitley helped us add a whole new color to our team. Yeah, the hawk has a lime green eye, but we never really considered that a part of what we wore. Now, everyone is wearing lime green stuff. Thanks Branch.
The dude has got style, and that was really all he could offer Seattle. He was more of a business marketer than anything, and I see that now. We were winning and the Bussiness adminsitration needed to get the fans to buy more gear. "I hear this branch guy can really sell our product. Let's make him some sweet gloves and hope for the best. Maybe he will do well too."
S. Holmes Superbowl MVP
Everyone always talks about how he was a Superbowl MVP. Does that really mean anything? Really? Not league MVP but Superbowl MVP. Honestly, looking back I always use to say, "we got branch, he is the man, he was superbowl MVP." I think Branch is a great reciever, but he just had a really good game that happened to be the Superbowl, but other than that, he is just a good number 2/3 reciever.
Seattle just doesn't need Deion Branch. For us, he has been injury prone and unproductive. Hasselbeck and him did not develope the a relationship like D-Jack or Engram did. Our recievers are awesome right now. Williams, Butler, Stokely, Tate, and Obomanu. Stokely is a great addition, because he is going to teach the system to these young recievers. Get Hasselbeck on the same page and we could be really threatening.
Last point. There were three specific players that i heard about, and how they should be gone. Jones, Housh and Branch. For 3 years people have bitched about Jones. Branch I hear about hear and there from people. And, only a couple people wanted TJ gone (People that Hate OSU). But they are now all gone. John Sneider and Pete Carrol in ways, are listening to the fans. I feel like, if we are thinking it, than they are considering it. I only bring this point up, because I think people are thinking about what should be done with the QB position.
