Week 4 Prediction Recapitated

What a great Pick.  Both the interception and the draft selection.  21 y/o Safety Earl Thomas.
To start, I am still going to keep my name as Ops the Optimistic and let you all know that the Hawks have some work to do.  It looks as though this is anyones game.  I cannot believe this is a Shootout between all teams except the 49ers.  What a reallly really shitty but exciting division.  The NFC West is going to take the division and be at least 2 games behind all other NFC teams contending for a wild card position.  I would love to see all of the West battling for 7 or 8 wins this season.

Jones:

Prediction 1) San Francisco did make the right moves, but the game was much closer then even you anticipated.  SF might be the best 0-4 team in NFL history.  But still only two games behind the rest of the pack.  This prediction is Correct.

Nice play by Davis, I think he was
on Don's Bench.  Whoops.
Prediction 2). You predicted that the Packers were to make Lions History in most points scored in a game.  Aren't you as surprised as me to see how close the Lions come to winning each week against good teams.  They have lost to CHI by 5, Philly by 3, and now GB by 2.  They are making good progress. Prediction is incorrect.

Prediction 3). Drew Brees did play well with is injured knee and the game was much closer than expected.  NO had a field goal winning kick.  Good prediction.

Upset) You chose the Ravens over the Steelers.  Great pick.  It was not because of McGahee though.  He did have a TD and a Fumble, but no star performance.  The defense got it done, and Flacco played pretty solid.  This upset prediction is Correct.

Jones is 3-4 in this weeks predictions. Be ready for Week 5 this Friday.

Roger:
Prediction 1). You predicted that Batch was to throw 4 picks and the Ravens would win.  One thing you don't have to predict is Batch's luck running out.  It ran out when he was born.  Baby batch, the boy who will always be second or third in life.  The Ravens did win so this prediction will be Correct.

Prediciton 2.) You said that the Philly fans were going to Riot after McNabb moons the fans.  He pretty much did that but more classy.  With a semi-solid performance.  One for sure prediction you can make is that philly is going to riot.  They riot with a win or no win.  After the game it cut to a reporter still in the stadium, nobody in the stands.  While McNabb is being interviewed on the field you can hear cop and ambulance sirens sounding off behind them.  Maybe that is what noises they should sound off when Philly gets a TD.  What a shit hole.  Nobody says it better then Bill Burr.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTY-JmKsR4Y (This is very foul, but it gets the point across).
Prediction is Correct.

Don't worry SeaFans.  He will be
feeling this January 2nd, 2011.  Rookie Biotch.
Prediciton 3.) Sam Bradford got Sacked 4 times and had 1 interception.  Your prediction was incorrect.  However, I am excited for how this Season is going to play out.  Arizona really sucks, and SF has so much stacked against them, that right now the division is really just between the Hawks and the Rams.  As much as I hate the Rams, I love this Rivalry.  Bradford did have a good game, and I suspect the fate of both our teams will be decided on January 2nd in Quest Field.  Week 16.  May be the game that we should be thinking of going to.  Bradford is not going to have a good time there.  That I can for sure guarrentee.

Upset) Dolphins over the Patriots. Must Update

Don:

Prediction 1) Yes don, your first prediction is Correct.  So, I took a personal cold shower just to see if it feels like it matched the feeling of losing to the Rams.  It did.  21-7 is a solid prediction, and thanks for giving us a score.  Seattle decided to not show up, and I can only put my Ops Chips into Hasselbeck for CHI's game.  Man did they look bad.  Bradford looked good though.  Prediction 1 is Correct.
**Fantasy Note Let me say that me winning the league is turning into a long shot (0-4), but I am only one little game behind you, and we will be seeing eachother in Week 6, which will be a win that is more satisfying than taking the stupid league with elite stars.  See you in two.

Prediction 2)  Showing love for the Raiders, but the Raiders just don't like to give  love back.  Most Raider fans don't know what love really is.  They just want to hit things and yell a lot.  If we started a poll to which NFL team has the largest Harley Davidson fan base, it would be the Raiders.

Heyward-Bey & Murphy = 0 TDs and Schaub is okay
Prediction incorrect.

Don Tesdal's Raider companion, Ice Cube.  Go Raiders.
Prediction 3).  You are right that Andy Reid looks like a pig farmer.  I think of him as Mike Holgrem's little brother that just never amounted to anything his big brother did.  Vick should only be away from the game for a couple weeks. LeSean McCoy is the guy that is going to need some help, his ribs are broken.  But the Redskins were able to hold on and your prediction is incorrect.

Bears backup QB Todd Collins is hit hard by Giants' Michael Boley in the fourth quarter. Collins was injured and did not come back to the field following this play.

Upset) Giants play like the Superbowl Champs they once were and beat the Bears.  That did happen, and man did their defense look good.  Tuck is a beast.  10 sacks for the giants.  I thought 2nd String Bears QB Todd Collins (Right) looked like a HS freshman playing his first game, with his huge shoulder pads and oversized Jersey, what an idiot.  He got crushed, but i think he just decided to stay down and not play, because he was not looking forward to finishing the game.  The 3rd stringer Caleb Hanie looked pretty confident and I hope he gets to play next week.  Its cool when the young guys get in there and take care of things.  The bears are going to have a really good defense with a shitty QB, my favorite mixture.  Only now, Hester is a focused reciever and special teams ain't doing anything for them.
Prediction Correct

Don went 2-2 in this weeks predictions.  Looking forward to his thoughts for next weeks.  3PU Fridays (3 predictions and an Upset) 3PU is held on Friday, so be ready to make you predictions around than.

My Predictions:
Prediction 1).Tom Coughlin did make plenty of confused looks, one shot had me laughing for a good minute.  Eli was still mouth breathing, but he did not throw any interceptions, so this prediction is incorrect.

Coughlin (Right) confused
as the first time he saw a tit,
ponders what to do next as his Star QB
Eli Manning (Left Corner)
 focuses on his breathing.

Prediction 2).  Mike Williams will have a breakout game.  I see a lot of talent in this guy, but everytime he has a ball heading his way it is intercepted, because of a poorly thrown ball.  I am sticking to my gut in believing this guy is the real deal.  But for this week, prediction incorrect.

Prediction 3.) Seahawks are 3-1 with the rest of the division losing out.  I am really hoping that this bye week is going to get our heads on straight, and maybe we can really stick it to Da (soon to be plummeting) Bears. .  Prediction incorrect.

Upset)  Browns over Cleveland.  This is such a fueled rivalry.  I love predicting upsets to in divisional matchups where the home team  is the underdog.  Peyton Hillis had another awesome game, and ex-seahawk QB Senaca Wallace got a win.  I always liked him, even last season he made big mistakes, but so did everyone else.  I benched TO and he scored 28 points for fantasy.  I guess I am just glad I have him, and it took benching him to realize that he will forever remain my starter.  Especially next week against TB.  Prediction Correct.

Look at me sitting on the bottom going 1-4 in predictions.  Thats fine with me, because i just spilled my feelings out all over this blog, like a FAT Oprah Winfrey in therapy with Dr. Phil.

Ops the Optimistic Over and Out.  (OOOO)

  1. Nice job sorting all that out Bruce. Very entertaining to read. This is already turning into the most unpredictable-hence-exciting seasons ever. It's impossible to tell which team is going to step up to the plate and take home a division title much less a conference title. Tom Coughlin made so many funny faces every time I close my eyes I see a collage of coughlins circling around each other. Earl Thomas is the best thing to happen to Seattle since Shaun Alexander went away. Russell Okung will be a great lineman, Max Unger will be back and the Hawks will have a good ground game, next year.
