The WORD Week 8.
Make you 3PU picks (Right Column that says "Week 8 3PU"
I did not have time to put in pictures, because I am going to the CAL vs OSU game, but this is Valuable Fantasy material.
No comments, no write up, just stay shutting up and keep listening.
Starts
QB- Ryan Fitzpatrick Buffalo
Ryan has looked good the last couple of weeks. He threw for 374 passing yards, four
touchdowns and two interceptions at Baltimore, who I believe is the best D in the NFL.
Buffalo plays KC this week which they have been decent against the pass KC gave up
222 yds, and 2 TD against Todd Bauman of Jacksonville last week.
HB – Marshawn Lynch Seattle
Marshawn looked great last week and its only going the get better. He is facing an
Oakland Raiders team that got a huge win last week but are terrible so far against the run.
They are giving up 138.9 yds a game on the ground including 9 TD’s. Oak is also the
hometown for Lynch. I expect full beast mode to be in play leading MR Lynch to his first
100 yard performance of the year.
HB – Chris “Beanie Wells” Arizona
Beanie has seen his work load increase as of late. And with Hightower continuing to
fumble I expect Chris to get the bulk of the carries this week. They are up against the TB
Bucs D that is second to worst in the NFL against the run. They are giving up 157 yards a
game on the ground.
WR – Steve Johnson Buffalo
I expect Steve to have another good game following his 8 catch 158 yard 1 TD
performance last week against Baltimore. Lee Evans should see draw the attention from
KC and will free up Johnson all day.
WR – Dez Bryant Dallas.
What a fun Monday night game last week. As soon as Kitna came into the game he
looked directly to Bryant’s direction. All Bryant did was score two TD’s. I expect Kitna
to be looking his way all game this week against Jacksonville’s horrific pass defense.
They are giving up 263 yards a game and have given up 14 TD’s threw the air.
WR – Pierre Garcon Indy
Pierre has everything going for him this week to have a Break out game. He has Austin
Collie hurt, Dallas Clark out all year, Indy’s two starting running backs hurt, Reggie
Wayne drawing the double teams, Peyton Manning as his QB, and he is up against the
WORST passing defense in the NFL in Houston. Need more…..?
TE – Dustin Keller Jets
He is coming off a bye week. He has been impressive all year and expect nothing less.
And I have him on my Fantasy team so go Keller go.
Defense – Seattle Seahawks
I love the Hawks. I think they have a great matchup this week. Oakland does not have
a good passing game, (Campbell still sucks). There only chance they have on offense
is to run the football or dump it out to McFadden and let him do all the work. While
McFadden has been impressive while he has been healthy the Seahawks run defense has
been awesome. They are still the second ranked rushing defense in the NFL and if they
can bottle up McFadden, Campbell will find his best receiver, (Earl Thomas) all day. Go
Hawks.
Sits
QB – Vince Young Ten
Good news for Young is he is back and starting, bad news is he is facing the Chargers.
San Diego has the NFL’s best passing defense right now only giving up 158 yards a
game. They have more picks then they have given up TD 7:6. San Diego is tied for the
lead in the NFL in sacks with these Titans. Not good signs for Young.
QB – Jason Campbell Oakland.
Campbell has not been good this year and is up against a very good Seattle D. The hawks
pass rush and ET will frustrate him all day.
HB – Chris Ivory Saints
Bush probably could have came back this week but he looked at the schedule and saw
they were facing the Steelers D and probably decided to wait a week. So again Ivory gets
the nod this game and he has to face the NFL’s best rushing D. Good Luck
HB – Mike Bush Oakland
McFadden will see more touches and Bush when Bush does go in he is up against the 2nd
ranked rushing defense in the NFL in the Seahawks.
WR – Michael Crabtree San Francisco
San Fran is going with 3rd s tring Mighty Mouse QB this week while in London in Troy
Smith. The Crabtree will be frustrated when balls cant get to him. He is also going to
have Champ Bailey covering him all day.
WR – Roy Williams Dallas
When Kitna went in last week for Homo I mean Romo, Roy was not targeted once. While
he has a great matchup against Jacksonville I expect most of the balls thrown to go to
Witten, Austin, and Bryant. Williams will just be the odd man out.
TE – Marcedes Lewis Jacksonville
He was a start for me last week and sucked it up. Because of that and the fact that Dallas
plays well against TE he becomes a sit for me this week.
Defense – Pittsburg
While Pitt has a great rushing defense there passing defense is only subpar. They are
giving up 253 yards a game this year threw the air. I expect New Orleans to air it out all
game long this week and put up some good numbers, If they want to win at home.
WEEK 7 GRADES
The Word for Week 7.
If you listened to my word last week, well than you had a pretty darn good week. If you
didn’t, well you sir are an idiot. Why because this is the WORD and it is always right. So
listen up to my starts and sits for week 7.
QB – Joe Flacco Baltimore
Joe Flacco had a great game last week against a good defense. He threw for 285 yds, 2
TD and no picks. He has a good matchup this week against Buffalo. Buffalo is giving up
200 yds a game threw the air but the big thing for me is they have given up 11 TD’s and
only one pick. I expect Baltimore to have a good game offensively in a rout of the Bills.
Actual. 250 yards, 3 TD. Scored 26 Fantasy points.
Grade A
HB – Peyton Hillis, Cleveland
While he was a sit for me last week he is a start this week. I think he Is going to be out
with something to prove this week after only rushing for 41 yards last week. He has a
decent match up against the saints who tend to give up some yardage on the ground.
Actual – 69 rush yards, 13 rec, TD. 12 fantasy points.
Grade B
HB – Marshawn Lynch, Seattle
Here we go. This will be the first time I am putting a Seahawk RB on here or anywhere
in a very long time, and I am STOKED to be doing so. The Seahawks will be behind a
very well and improved line that looked awesome last week. Arizona ranks 29th in the
NFL against the run, giving up an average of 140.8 yards per game, and has allowed an
average of 22.40 Fantasy points to opposing running backs thus far. Im expecting and
hoping Seattle gets there first 100 yard rusher this season.
Actual – 89 rushing yards. Scored 8 fantasy points
Grade C+
WR – Dwayne Bowe, Kansas City
Dwayne looked great last week with six catches for 108 yards and two touchdowns on
nine targets. He has a great math up this week up against Jaguars. The Jags are giving up
263.3 yds a game threw the air and 14 TD’s.
Actual – 81 rec yards and 2 TD’s. Scored 20 fantasy points.
Grade A+
WR – Mike Williams Seattle
Mike had a career day last week with 123 yds receiving. He has yet to find the endzone
this year but you heard it here first, He will this week. Arizona ranks 26th in the league
in passing defense and is giving up an average of 19.80 Fantasy points to opposing
wideouts.
Actual – 87 rec yds oh and He did have a TD. Who called that??? Scored 14 Fantasy pts
Grade A
WR Terrell Owens Cincinnati
TO is coming off a bye week and has had two monster performances in his last two
games played. He has a good matchup this week against the Falcons. Atlanta is allowing
239 yds a game threw the air. They are also going to be with out their top corner because
he decided to knock out Desean Jackson and himself and create some new NFL hit rules.
Nice work Duante. Now you get to watch TO go off on your team.
Actual – 88 rec yds and a TD. Scored 14 fantasy points.
Grade A
TE Mercedes Lewis Jacksonville
Now most people think that this is a major bust pick this week. And after I watched the
Monday night game, Jacksonville’s coaching offensive coordinator is an IDIOT. So its
hard to put any Jaguar on here. Lewis will have third string QB Todd Bauman throwing
him the ball. But I am one that always says the TE is the best weapon for a struggling
or young QB especially a 6’6” 275 athletic one in Lewis. If Jacksonville wants MJD to
get going they need to throw the football and I can’t pick a better way to do that then to
Lewis. Let’s hope their coaching staff figures it out this week.
Actual – 44 rec yds. Scored 4 fantasy points
Grade D
Defense – Seattle’s
YES I am excited for this one as well. The Seahawks D looked great last week in
bringing pressure all day on Jay Cutler. They are the NFL’s number 2 rated rushing D.
They are 3rd to last against the pass in terms of yards per game. But they have a major
bend but don’t break attitude. While giving up 290 yds a game threw the air teams have
only mustard 6 TD against them. Oh and this game is at Qwest field, the loudest stadium
in the NFL. Rookie QB Max Hall will not be ready for the 12th man or the Hawks D.
Actual – 10 points allowed, 224 yards, INT, 2 sacks, 4x Fumbles recovered. Hurt max
Hall. Scored 22 fantasy points.
Grade A\
Sits For Week 7
QB – Max Hall, Arizona
While Hall does have on target in Larry Fitzgerald to throw to he is up an amazing pass
rush and a run stuffing D in the Seahawks. Not only will he have that to deal with, he will
be up against the 12th man out there in Seattle who gives him one hell of a time.
Actual – 4-16 36 yards, INT, fumble lost. He got hurt. Scored -3 fantasy points.
Grade A+
HB – Tim Hightower Arizona
Again he is up against Seattle’s run D which ranks 2nd in the NFL. They have not allowed
a 100 yard rusher yet this year.
Actual – 59 rush yards, 1 fumble lost. Scored 3 fantasy point
Grade A
HB – Ronnie Brown Miami
Ronnie will have a tremendous time trying to find holes to run threw against the leagues
best run Defense in Pitt. Pitt still hasn’t allowed a RB to rush for more than 45 yards on
them.
Actual – 14 rush yards, 20 rec yards. Scored 3 fantasy points.
Grade A
WR – Lee Evans Buffalo
Lee is up against Baltimore who is coming off an overtime loss. They will be out to prove
they are the best team and defense in the NFL this week which doesn’t sit well for Mr.
Evans.
Actual – Killed me, 105 rec yards, 3 TDS; scored 28 fantasy points.
Grade F
WR – Mike Simms Walker, Jacksonville
While I have their TE starting I would sit Walker. Not only does Walker have Todd
Baumen starting but he has not been productive at all this year and should not continue
this week.
Actual – 38 rec yards, TD. Scored 9 fantasy points.
Grade C
TE – Greg Olsen Chicago
Chicago pass protection was so bad last week off the ends that I believe they will have to
keep their TE in to help out. With Olsen having to play more of a blocking role against
Washington’s 3-4 defense he wont be getting the ball thrown his way.
Actual – 43 rec yards. Scored 4 fantasy points.
Grade B+
Defense – Arizona
Their gonna get torched this week by the Hawks.
Actual – 22 points allowed, 302 yards, FF, 5 sacks (move in the pocket hasslebeck).
Scored 9 fantasy points.
Grade A
Recap
It was a good week for my WORD. Overall grades for my starts were a B+ and my sits
were a B.
