THE WORD - Week 6 Start em/Sit em

This is the WoRD, by Jeremy Faoro...

Here is The Word for week 6 in the NFL.

Start Em / Sit Em.

Last week was a tough week. A couple of good picks and a couple of bad ones as well. My Starts were way better then my sits last, so lets hope I did a little bit more homework for this week. Damn you Orton and your 100 yd worthless passes you got on garbage time after the Ravens pummeled you.

Starts For Week 6
QB – Eli Manning NYG
My QB was a tough choice. I really wanted to go with Matt Cassel against a horrific Texans D but I just couldn’t until Cassel can prove he can pass. There are 3 good match ups I like this week. The first two I HATE to say. One is Jay Cutler Vs Seattle. Seattle has given up 302 passing yds per game. That is 2nd worst in the NFL right now. The next is Big Ben in his first game back Vs Clev.
The perfect sized name, for the
perfect ladies underpants.
(1).  187 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT,
(2).  371 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INT,
(3).  262 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INT,
(4).  182 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT.
Those are the numbers the last 4 games VS Clev. The QB I'm going with this week though is again Eli Manning. Detroit passing D is avg 235 yds/game. They are coming off a HUGE win only to be embarrassed in NY.

HB – Mike Bush OAK
Bush is coming off a good week. Oakland has been running the ball well this year and with McFadden still not 100 percent I expect Bush to get most of the carries Vs San Fran. San Fran is giving up 111 yds a game on the ground.

HB – Ahmad Bradshaw NYG
Ahmad has a good match up in week 6 VS Det. Det is giving up 133 yds per game against the run and with all the problems with Brandon Jacobs this year I expect Bradshaw to keep carrying the load for the Giants.

WR – Hakeem Nicks, NYG
I’m picking a lot of Giants this week but after his monster performance last week. I don’t expect the same results, but I do expect another good outing. He is starting to prove to be a major red zone threat for the Giants.
WR- Mike Wallace Pit
I hate to have any Steelers on my list because I hate them all. But Mike Wallace does look like a good Fantasy pick this week. Big Ben is back this week and I expect him to come out throwing. Clev has been vulnerable to deep passes and Wallace is Pit’s best deep threat.

WR – Kenny Britt TEN
Kenny has been quietly putting up TD after TD each of the last 3 weeks. He is really starting to shine in the #1 receiver roll with the injury to Justin Gage. Britt has an excellent matchup in week 6 VS Jacksonville. Jax has the NFL’s 4TH worst passing D giving up 282 yds per game. They've also given up the most fantasy points to WR's this year (12 passing TD’s). I expect Britt to possibly have a break out game.

TE – Chris Cooley WSH
McNabb's Go to Guy, in
the Bathroom.
Cooley is becoming a favorite target of McNabb. He has a tough matchup against Indy. Indy has the NFL’s best passing D against TE’s this year. They have only given up 111 yds total to TE this year. They did give up 50 yds and a TD last week to KC rookie TE. I expect the 2 veterans McNabb and Cooley to find out what KC did  last week, and do more of the same with Cooley.
Defense – New York Giants
Ok I guess I am hopping on the Giants bandwagon or something. But, they are up against the Lions who scored like it was nothing last week. This week with the ferocious pass rush of the Giants and Calvin Johnson not 100%, I expect Shaun Hill to look a little lost this week.  Kind of like he did all of last year.

Defense – Pittsburgh Steelers
The Other D I would start is Pitt’s VS Cleveland. Cleveland’s Hillis is banged up and they may be starting Rookie QB Colt McCoy.

SITS for Week 6

QB – Shaun Hill Detroit
What a liar. Hill sucked in SAN FRAN.
Shaun Hill of Detroit. He is up against that terrifying NY pass rush. NY has been making opposing QB’s look silly the last 2 weeks. I’m sticking with that trend until proven otherwise.

HB – Peyton Hillis Cleveland
This guy has been one of the biggest surprises so far this year. He is running like a mad man. He rushed for 144 yds against Balt but he has a hurt thigh and is up against Pitt. Pitt is the best in the NFL against the run. They are giving up 62.2 yds per game and only 2 rushing TD’s. No single running back has gained more than 42 yards against them. Hillis has scored a touchdown in all five games this season, but is also banged up. In four games, the Steelers have allowed 54, 35, 53 and 66 total rushing yards even though they have faced running backs like Atlanta's Michael Turner, Tennessee's Chris Johnson, and Baltimore's Ray Rice. Oh And Cleveland may be starting Rookie QB Colt McCoy, so expect Pitt to be stacked against the run.

Get on the bench Barber
HB – Marion Barber – Dallas
I would sit Barber. He is starting to see his roll diminishing in Dallas lately. He only had 6 carries last week. Where Barber is the starter Felix Jones is getting the bulk of the carries and thriving. Dallas is up against a good D in week 6 in Minnesota. Barber is more of a 3rd down back now and maybe red zone.
WR – Calvin Johnson DET
Well he is banged up and is going against a great pass rush in NYG. I don’t expect Hill to have a good game and with his QB not able to get the ball off and Johnson not being healthy I don’t expect big things from Mr. Johnson.

WR – Brandon Tate NE
Brady, putting on his
GAMEFACE.
There is a lot of talk about how Tate should really benefit from the Randy Moss trade. I think it is actually going to hurt him. No receiver on NE scares me to go deep, and NONE of them should get a double team, even with the addition of Deon Branch (whom I think sucks and is always a tackle away from being another over paid multi-million dollar clip board holder). All their receivers are possession slot type guys. I expect Brady to see a 4 man pass rush with the Ravens dropping back into a zone this week and making the receivers beat them.

TE – Jason Witten Dallas
Minnesota did an awesome job shutting down a more agile, and athletic TE last week in Dustin Keller. I expect the same this week in shutting down Witten.

Defense – New England
Yes New England's D/ST's has scored a ton of points this year. They have already scored 5 defensive TD’s. But Flacco and Co. torched NE last year in the playoffs. I believe Baltimore has gotten better on offense, and NE has gotten worse on defense. I wouldn’t be surprised if Baltimore puts up a big game this week.

Watch out Pats, for this......

Feel free to comment on some Sleepers you expect to play well this week. I will grade your choices.
Thats the WORD, WORD OUT.
