I Love the NFC West. Hall of Famer's Emmit Smith (LEFT) and Jerry Rice (Right) come to the NFC West to Spark some success. HAHAHA.
Yes, the one nice thing that happened last week. Earl Thomas gets some. Plenty more from the potential "rookie of the year". Lets have a minute to Recap:
Obviously, we have a lot of work to do. But watching Thomas on the field sure makes watching the Hawks lose not as bad. I would love to start my first prediction being another Earl Thomas Pick, but he gets to take a week off and star figure out where to display his first three trophy picks. He is really awesome, and I like having him over Eric Berry (who would rather Berry? Weigh in).
After this week, we will compare Stats between Berry and Thomas.
In case you don't know how this works. Each week, you can comment on this post making three bold predictions and an Upset. Explain why, or don't. Then, after the week is over, I will write up a blog recapping your predictions. I may even throw in my two cents. You can either create a blogger account, or can use some of the options they have below. It is really easy, and if you are having problems give me a ring.
This weeks predictions:
Figure 5.1
1.) Seattle is not going to lose this week. I think they will have a solid week of preparing to not lose this Sunday. They are going to work so hard this week. I can "gold stamp guarantee" (Figure 5.1) the Seattle Seahawks will not lose in week 5. (Gimme a break, I'm losing in predictions.)
Looks like a great day to watch a slaughter. Come'on Detroit, make some noise.
3.) I am predicting that Green Bay will be walking in to FedEx field looking like they are ready for the Superbowl. Washington just barely got through a win against philly, and McNabb is gonna have a hell of a time working through GB's D. Meanwhile, Rodgers is just going to be in is Pro Bowl form, creating all sorts of good. Should be a blow out.
"Hello, Who is this?" Said the dedicated Redskins fan at FedEx Field. "This is Wilford Brimley, and you just won the Diabetes. Oh, and your Washington Redskins Donovon McBlow. Ha Ha...Cough cough...." Said Brimley before going back to his coffin.

Ops the Optimistic, Over and Out
-(OOOO)
(1) The Chiefs will join the ranks of the beaten: Not an upset here, as the Chiefs are underdogs away at Indianapolis. Thus far, KC has ridden an effective running game with the two-headed attack of Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones, each averaging over 4 yards a carry. Matt Cassel has generally avoided mistakes (except against Cleveland) and has thrown fewer than 30 passes in each game, a surprise for a Charlie Weis-led offense. With the Colts' vulnerability to the run, this could be closer than the line indicates, but the Colts will pull it out and give KC its first loss.
ReplyDelete(2) Philadelphia will not miss Vick: Let's not forget that, as talented as Michael Vick is, and as attractive it is that he adds a running dimension to Philly's offense (he is the Eagles' second-leading rusher), Kevin Kolb is still a solid NFL quarterback. SF has had trouble with the run and has suffered from a surprising inability to rush the ball itself despite Frank Gore, and Philly will be able to control the line of scrimmage without putting excessive pressure on Kolb. Philly will beat SF without much trouble.
(3) Randy Moss will be a non-factor on Monday night: This prediction stems from my suspicion of Moss fitting in quickly to Minnesota's offense, my dislike for Brett Favre, and my admiration of shutdown corner Darrell Revis. To hedge this pick a bit, Moss will be held under 100 yards and will not catch a touchdown against the Jets. (This trade made no sense for NE, Minn. beyond this season, or Moss beyond this season, and amounts to a desperation move in what is hopefully Brett Favre's last gasp at the playoffs.)
(Upset) Det. over St. Louis: Even without Matthew Stafford, Detroit has amassed a collection of outstanding skill players, as well as castoffs from Seattle, and the two groups will perform well enough against mediocre Saint Louis to earn the Lions their first win.
First off, I want to put in my thanks for the mention of the 49ers and the fact that Patrick Willis is possibly the best thing out of Ole Miss. They should have made a movie about him and how hard he hits!
ReplyDelete1) 49ers will win this week and give a good overall show. The defense has been strong and will have to power the win but the 49ers offense will put up 2 touchdowns to seal the deal.
2)The Saints again will provide us a win putting Arizona in the hole even more. DA will show up like the old OSU days and fall to the ground with some Will Smith pressure from the outside. If he does seem to grow a pair, he could find some weaknesses in the secondary with still no Sharper leading the fury. Still a NO win!
3) Matt Ryan looks strong with support all around him as Atlanta beats Cleveland. This is the only win in Atlanta you will hear about. Go S.F. Giants!!
UPSET) I was going to pick Oakland in this but with McFadden most likely out I couldnt make a bold prediction. Instead I will go with =New York over Houston. Bradshaw wont fumble again (trying a Tiki Barber look-a-like) and he will score a few. Eli throws the ball well and proves that the Manning name is what we all want on the back of our QB's jersey.
Edit. I am not changing my picks but 2) Derek Anderson is not getting the start and a scared Max Hall will try his best against the banged up Defense of NO (no Will Smith either) but he cant lead them to a win.
ReplyDeleteMy 3PU
ReplyDeletePredictions
1) Baltimore should have no problem with Denver. Orton will have more picks then TD’s. OVERRATED Orton.
2) Arizona will give up 40 points to New Orleans. In there 2 losses this year they have given up 41 points to San Diego and Atlanta. Well New Orleans has a better offense then both and should have 0 problem finding the endzone against AZ.
3) Houston will beat NYG. Houston stuffs NY’s run game and forces Eli to throw a ton. Eli should put up big numbers in a high scoring game but Houston’s O ends up to be too good.
Upsets
I know we are suppose to do one but I have 2 for this week. Both teams getting there first win of the year.
1) Detroit over St Louis.
Detroit has looked good while losing. They will win at home against a not very good ST Louis team.
2) Car over Chi
Carolina should put 8 guys in the box to stuff Forte and Chi run game and make Collins beat them. He will fail to do so. Car gets win #1.
Fantastic predictions followed by sound reasoning! You all should be commended for actually putting some thought into what is an impossible task this year. Picking a winner has never been more difficult. One look at the Vegas odds and it is apparent, no one knows who is going to win. One thing is for sure however, try as they might, The Hawks will come out of this week without a loss, hehe. It's Friday night, the twins are put to bed, and daddy's ready to party, so let's get this done with.
ReplyDeletePredictions:
1)I hate Tony Romo. I don't even know why. I hate his name, his face, his girlfriends, his butt buddy Whitten, his coach and his owner. Despite all that, he has a descent cheer leading squad and they are the difference maker in this game. Dallas wins, and by enough to make it look like they are a good team, but they suck.
2)Cleveland at Atlanta. You gotta be outta your mind if you think Cleveland has a snowballs chance in hell of winning this game. I will punch myself very hard in the face if Atlanta does not make Cleveland look like pop warner.
3)Monday night-Vikings at Jets. J-E-T-S. Dirty Sanchez will post big numbers and Brett Farve will look like a complete ass in front of the entire United States viewing audience. Jets win.
UPSET ALERT! Fucking Broncos will beat the Ravens in their house! Kyle Orton is going to go off. The Ravens will not be able to keep up with the points battle. Wait a minute, what am I saying? Never mind, forget that. Broncos win a close low scoring game.
We have some great posts. Currently, there are a couple conflicting predictions between Besticles, Jones, Pete, Don and myself. Jones and i have chosen San Fran to win, but Pete thinks otherwise. Besticles has the Ravens to Win and Don has them to lose. Besticles also has Houston to Win and Jones has chosen NYG as his Upset of the week. Everybody seems to have logic, but with conflicting predictions, it is always important that we talk shit to eachother, so the one who is right can really feel good.
ReplyDeleteI have Conflicting Predictions with Pete. So Pete, I can tell you that I am sure my upset will be sound this week, and there is really nothing more satisfying then proving a lawyer/friend wrong. Yeah, philly is the logical/safe pick, but did you not see the evidence. That video of Patrick Willis is real, and I have a small hunch, he is going to be a terror. You might, want to spend some time thinking about the decision you made. I am willing to put a small wager on this. Pitcher of Shit Beer next time we see each other?
Conflicting Predictions = Talkig Shit, and have fun with it lads.
Awesome predictions! No Steeler's team to bash on this week :( That's ok though cuz Dallas is back Chris Johnson is gonna rebound this week. Call me crazy but I am picking the KC Chefs (great-googly-moogly) to stay undefeated this week. The way things are going, would it be crazy to not pick them?
ReplyDelete1) Titans over the Cowboys. Dallas had a bye week but that is not enough to fix this team. Expect Johnson to make some plays this week and record his sixth straight road game with 100+ yards.
2) Niners over Eagles. "Kolbcussion" is brilliant and I see it happening. I see this being a low scoring, defensive game. Are we going to see another one-sided Special Teams victory?
3) Jags over Bills. MJD is going to return to his old self against a weak Buffalo D. The Jags beat Indy on a last second 59 yard field goal from Josh Scobee and that has to be a confidence builder.
Upset: Chiefs over Colts. Yep I said it. And not just because I want to be the guy that says "1 did" when people ask "the Chiefs are 4-0, who would have thought?". Sure, i didn't pick them to be 3-0, but I am picking them now. The Colts are banged up and the Chiefs are coming off their bye week. I see this game being controlled with the one-two punch of Jamal Charles and Thomas Jones, wearing down the Indy D and keeping the ball out of Manning's Hands.
