Before you begin to start this. Check this weeks 3PU blog, by clicking on the blog topic in the right column. Read the comments and make you predictions.
I’m going to give you my Fantasy start em, Sit em picks for the week. In no way am I an expert in Fantasy as much as I would like to think so, just very opinionated. So take it, or shake it. With my starts and sit’s I won’t be giving you the obvious starts such as Peyton Manning, Adrian Peterson, or Chris Johnson. We all know your either an idiot or they're on their bye week.. What I’m going to try to give you is those player’s your not sure of. So let’s get this party started.
Starts for Week 5
Eli to me has a great matchup. He is up against Houston who has the worst ranked passing defense in the NFL right now. As bad as he may be, he should put up some huge numbers against Houston . Bruce, the only thing this week Coughlin will be confused over is which passing play to call next.
MJD has not gotten going yet. However, he had a good game last week, and what better week to really go off than his week 5 matchup against the Bills. The Bills have the NFL’s worst rushing D giving up 174 yds per game with 4.6 per carry. This should play heavily in MJD’s favor. Oh and yea glad he’s on my team.
Not because he is on my team, but because he has a good match up as well. Oakland is great against the pass but they are 31st against the run giving up 162 rushing yards a game. Mathews scored is first TD of his career and I expect a couple more this week.
HB-3 – Frank Gore – San Fran
Yes they are 0-4, Yes they suck, (I LOVE IT) but I believe this will be a break out game for them and it will all rely heavily on Gore. He is up against philly who is giving up 138.8 yds per game. If, and a big IF San Fran is ever going to get going, now would be the time.
WR 1 – Greg Jennings /Donald Driver GB
This one is almost a must start normally but had to put him in there with almost every other GB receiver this week. There up against WSH who’s giving up 305 yds per game. Through the air!!! They did look better last week, but that was also against a struggling Kolb, not Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers may have close to 400 yds this game.
WR 2 – Roddy White ATL
ATL is up against Clev. They should air it out all day against the Browns, giving up 235 yds per game through the air. Expect that number to be close to 300 for Matt Ryan and Mr. White to get a ton of targets.

Roddy White (Middle), most targeted receiver in the NFL. Should always be stating.
WR-3 – Hakeem Nicks
Same reasons as Eli Manning. Nicks should be the most targeted.
Celek over division rivals for a TD.
TE – Brent Celek PHI
As I would sit most of Philly WR this week with a struggling Kolb starting, I would start Celek. TE’s are a struggling QB’s outlet and like last week, he should be thrown to a ton.
Defense – 1 – New Orleans
NO is up against an undrafted rookie QB in Max Hall. Expect BIG things this week from a good D against the pass.
Defense – 2 – Carolina
People may call me crazy on this one. Yes, CAR is giving up 334 yds per game, but they are going up against the Bears. Todd Collins is getting the start and he looked like he had no clue what he was doing last week when Cutler concussed. CAR should stack 8 in the box to stop Forte and the run, and blitz Collins and his over sized shoulder pads all day.
SIT' EM
Yes he has been putting up GREAT passing numbers. He is the NFL’s leading passer. But he has gone against Jax, and Seattle who are 29 and 30 against the pass. Denver has the worst rushing offense in the NFL and they are up against the NFL’s best Passing D. The last 2 games Orton has thrown the ball 57 and 50 times. With 0 running game and you pass 50 times a game I expect Orton to be sacked 8-10 times and have a couple of picks. Sorry Orton but your air attack stops in Baltimore.
HB – NYG RB’s
Again they are up against the Texans, but Houston is awesome against the run. They are the NFL’s #2 ranked rushing D. This game will be through the air by NY, if they want to win.
Maybe Jacobs can throw his helmet even further this week.
HB – Joseph Addai IND
I still don’t believe KC is very good. But in there first 3 games they are 3-0 and only giving up 75 yds on the ground. I expect Manning to air it out against a weaker pass D in KC.
Reason why? AZ has Max Hall and Chi has Todd Collins starting. Until they prove themselves, I would start for sure points.
D – New York Giants
This was a tough choice on which good D I would sit. Well I’m going with the NYG. They have been impressive so far getting 10 sacks last week. I don’t believe there D is that good, and here is why. They have put up good numbers against QB’s Vince Young, Matt Moore, and they hurt Cutler. The one time they went up against a real passer was Peyton Manning and he put up 20-26 for 266 yds and 3 TD’s. While Schaub is not Manning, he is 20 times a better passer than the other 3 and should put up some good numbers with Andre Johnson playing. Also, Arian Foster has been putting up great numbers, and HOU’s offense should be hard for the NYG to stop.
